RCM:Locking and unlocking phone

At some instances you may want to lock an employee’s phone. For example, when an employee is out to on vacation and you want to temporarily disable his business mobile number until he is back. This may also happen if the employee has lost his phone and you want to prevent it from unauthorized use. Should the employee find his telephone later, you may easily unlock it through RCM by performing the steps described in Unlocking phone below.
You may also want to verify the caller's identity based on the employee's personal data prior to locking or unlocking his phone.
Locking phone
To remotely lock the Employee’s phone, perform the following steps:
1. Click Employees in the navigation menu.
2. Click
against the employee’s name in the list of employees.
3. Click
Send SMS link in the action bar at the top.
4. Click
Lock phone! link. A warning message will display.
5. Click Lock Phone to proceed or click
Back to go back to the Send SMS menu.
Unlocking phone
A locked phone will display the following message:
The reward for the returned phone is set up by the administrator. There are two ways you can unlock a phone:
- directly by entering a master code on the phone (since master code is usually kept private from employees, this operation can only be performed by the administrator)
- remotely as described below.
To remotely unlock a phone that has been previously locked, perform the following actions:
1. Make sure the employee has actual posession of the found phone.
2. Click Employees in the navigation menu.

against the employee’s name in the list of employees.
3. Click
Send SMS on top of the page.
4. Click
Unlock phone. A dialog box will appear prompting you to confirm the operation.
5. Click OK button to unlock the phone or click Cancel to abort operation.
