Installing an existing SIM card on a new phone
If a phone becomes inoperable, follow the steps below.
1. Click Employees in the navigation menu.
2. Click
icon against the employee’s name in the list of employees.
3. Enter the IMEI of a new phone in the IMEI field. You may leave this field blank, and then the IMEI will be updated automatically on the next synchronization.
4. Click Update to save changes.
Phone is lost
If a phone is reported lost, your task would be to provide the employee with a new phone, install a new SIM card and make related changes to the employee's profile. To do so, perform the following steps:
1. Click Employees in the navigation menu.
2. Click
icon against the employee’s name in the list of employees.
NoteUse Filter panel to find required employees. Fill out the necessary fields to apply filtering to the list of employees: First name, Last name, Title, Department, Activity, Client version, Out of sync (Y/N). To clear the field values and apply another filter, click Clear filter. |
3. Enter the attributes of the new device as follows:
- Mobile number(required only if a mobile number is changed)
- IMEI: 15-digit unique phone ID (see IMEI);
- IMSI: 15-digit unique SIM-card ID (if a SIM card is replaced as well; see IMSI).
4. Click Update button at the bottom of the form to save changes.
NoteThe next logical step would be to send a download link to the new employee’s phone and synchronize (see Installing and activating phone clients). |
ImportantIf you by chance manage to return or find the phone later, change the settings to the reverse |
