RCM:Step 2 - Setting employee activities (calling limits)
From RCMWiki
Activities represent employee's job activities. Each employee belongs to one and only one activity.
Activities in RCM are used for setting employee's Calling limits and application blocking. You can group employees by job activities, for example:
- Project manager
- Sales manager
- System admininstrator
The calling limits are set individually for each employee.
To add a new company activity:
1. Click Activities link in the navigation menu.
2. Click
New Activity link in the action bar at the top.
3. Type in an activity name.
4. Check Block installation of 3rd party apps if required.
NoteIf checked, the employee will not be able to install or remove any applications on the phone. |
5. Under Local set limits for business/non-business calls. Do this by setting values (in minutes) in the following fields:
- Day limit - maximum daily talk time defined for the activity.
- Week extra limit - extra talk time added to the day limit.
E.g: If the day limit is set to 30 minutes and the week extra limit is set to 20 minutes, then the total weekly talk time allowed will be 30x7 + 20 = 230 minutes.
6. If necessary, select applications you do not want your employees to use. Such may be web-applications which render lots of traffic, or Camera which can be potentially used to take photos of confidential commercial documents. If you do not want to block any applications, follow to item 7.
NoteUse Ctrl+left click or Shift+left click for multiple selection. |
7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 for Roaming.
8. Press the Create button.
